My arms are kinda sore now from yesterday's morning tennis session with a few of my mates. Nice weather it was nice and cool...sky was threatening but held there. Played 2 rounds and lost both during our doubles.
Had our traditional HM (human movement) gathering, like we always do every new semester to welcome in the freshies and to welcome back the oldies. Our faculty is comparatively small and we have possibly the fewest asian in it. So yea, we're a pretty close knit family. Venues always change, this time round we had it at Madtilda's Bay, BBQ cum Pot Luck. Was real nice, turn out was almost perfect and it just seems as if our family is ever expanding, which is good. This mean more ppl to get to rope in and play games now! Quite a bit of food....but i think everyone just wanted to catch up with each other after the long summer break.
Sighz, pity that one of our guys, Halim, who just completed his honours was leaving back for Sg last nite. He's such a nice dude.Hahaha...he's goin back coz he's getting married in May. Now how cool is tat. Seven new year 1's this year, the biggest intake so far over the last 5 years i think, so maybe so far!
I don't recall ever being this tired and physically exhausted from sch on the first week ever in my life. For the pass few days, I've had to take like short afternoon naps to keep myself going thru the day. The moment my head touches the pillows ( i have like 5 pillows on my bed man....i need comfort and security when i sleep man!) i just knock out almost instantaneously.
I think the 2nd year units that i'm taking are pretty cool. Interesting they are, but heavy load. Had both my aerobics and swimming practicals on wed morning at a rediculious 8am and 9am. Aerobics I must say was pretty fun for a start. Think all of us had a gd time and a great workout as well. The guys in the class were pretty apprehensive abt doing aerobics initially, and just did like tiny movements....after awhile, losen up and yea...
Swimming was tiring. Had to do this assessment of strokes and stuff, had to do all 4 strokes, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly.....god,the aussies can really swim. It didn't help much knowing that i went for a long dist run the evening b4, so by the time i completed the backstroke, my legs were kinda tighten up and stuff. Never gonna run on tues ever again! They are hell fast, and despite many of them saying....nah i can't swim....that's all crap...total crap! It's really scary k! I mean i can swim and all, not exactly very fast or good, but its scary enough for me, and yes, i can't dive for the start off board at all k.....ask me to do a bellyflop....that i think i easily can!
Well, biomechanics lectures have been pretty alien to me....shit....its the return of maths and physics. Something i thought i would never have to see or touch ever again ever since A'levels.
But for now, at least fri draws nearer in a few more minutes. That means weekends are coming! YEAH! Tmr we're gonna have our volleyball practical....kinda looking forward to that....*excited*
So far my pass 2 days in uni has been ok....not that GREAT....but was ok.
Apart from the sucky timetable, pretty happy with the lecturers i got.
Just got back from a morning lab, was nothing much coz it was basically just an introductory lesson. Pretty slack today....well, i wouldn't say that too soon, coz come nect week when all the labs and tuts start....i dun think i would be saying the word 'slack' anymore.
Hmmmm....i need to get my bike tyers pummed soon.
My nose is real stuffed up now. My sense of smell has been blocked. I dun smell no nothing man. crappy feeling. I dun wanna fall sick again.
Well, have to go get ready for my next lecture....biomechanics....now how 'interesting' is that! Ciao!
