DIVING...LIFE IN ANOTHER DIMENSION...A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WORLD BENEATH!
Third day of my diving course, and 2nd pool session. I know I mentioned this in almost all my blogs already...but I'm really feeling very darn tired again.
Today's session was a little more relaxed, more revision of skills and stuff....learnt a few tricks here and there. Today we were given more time to swim around in the dive pool by ourselves to have a feel and get used to the whole idea of diving and stuff....I seriously thought that learning diving was gonna be damn hard, and I was kinda worried, but now that I'm in the midst of it...it's not as hard as it seems...it's way cool!

I kinda enjoyed the part today when we had to do hovering in the water, pretty funky that u have to try control ur bouyancy while in a crossed-legged sitting position underwater through controling ur breathing. Can't wait till tomorrow now....going to dive in the open sea...I guess it's gonna be a totally different feeling. Hee...all the beautiful fishies, corals and stuff....awwww....i love nature...( ok i'm sounding damn random and pathetic here....better stop)

Anyway, so sad, Zhong Yi and Nari left back for Singapore this afternoon. Felt real bad that I wasn't able to see them off at the airport coz I had to go for my dive course. It sure has been a hell of a good time having their comapny here in Perth.
Although I didn't really know them, just within this short period of time, it's amazing how friendships blossom...really glad that I could get along pretty well with them, enjoyed every single moment since they came. So much joy and laughter brought into the house! Haiz...Nari is just so sweet and lovable...can't stand it...seriously being the youngest here, I feel damn loved, and both chelsea and nari are like my 'mothers' ....hahaha....no pun whatsoever intended, but just saying that I've really glad that I have such friends to stand by ur side and really show care, concern and support. Of coz, not forgetting my fellow YEO...Zhong Yi...As irritating and a pain in the arse he may be at times, my new dear firend here is a GREAT guy....(do u here that Zhong Yi!!! Don't say I don't care abt u ok!) His stupid, spastic behaviours, nonsense talks and analogies are dumb to the core and I've never seen myself laugh as much till I felt as if I was hyperventilating!!! So Nari and Zhong...lub kub!!! But yea....u guys were great...will be missing ya...will meet up when I get back yea??? Cheers to u guys!!!(Must act a little Aussified here!!!)
THE FIRST POOL SESSION
Just got home not too long ago. Was Day 2 of my scuba diving course. Gosh, I really had heaps of fun today, really enjoyed the session. Had our very first pool session, which also equates to mean that I finally got the chance to feel and experience what it's like to actually BREATH underwater for the very first time. It was way cool!
Though it was a pretty long day...all was good! Arrived at the WA Dive Center around 9am, after which we headed down to Beatty Swimming and Leisure Complex where our pool session was to be conducted.Coz our dive group was really big, we had to be split into 2 groups. So my group met our new dive instructor today...Brent. He's really cool and nice, had loads of fun learning from him...easy to get along with and he teaches pretty well....clear, to the point and he really takes the job seriously. The most surprising thing that I found out was that he was the same age as me...ok, not being mean, but I seriously thought he was like 25. The weather was pretty ok, was a little windy but was pretty surprised that the pool water was not as cold as I expected it to be...in fact I found it rather warm.
Learnt quite a bit today, and it amazing I tell you! We learnt stuff like how to assemble and check our equiptments, how to use them, techniques and skill and much more. My dive buddy, Dwyane, yea...he's cool too. He's from down south of Western Australia-Albany, studying marine biology. Really getting more and more excited...hahaha, in fact it's really not as hard and scary as I thought it would be....till tmr after my second pool dive...yuppie!!!
DAY 1 - SCUBA DIVING 101
Just got back home from the WA Dive Center...woohooo...today was Day 1 of my diving course. Nothing much really happened coz it was mainly reviewing and going thru all practical and theory aspects of scuba diving. Pretty cool, learnt quite a bit but I'm really tired and sleepy now...had to watch like 5 video clips, tried hard to keep awake coz of the lack of sleep I got last night.
Ok, so besides the point that I wanna go flop on my bed again...really looking forward to tomorrow. Gonna have our first pool session somewhere in Bentely I think! Pretty big group that we're having...ppl mainly from UWA and Murdoch University. But well, more is good... :) The dive instructor-Daniel....he's pretty cool I guess. Nice guy, but I still think his slang isn't pure aussie. So it's kinda weird having to listen to him explain stuff...needs some getting used too!
Now I really can't wait till we go into open waters to dive...seems really cool, yet there's this element of mystery and fear, coz u never know what in the world u're gonna expect.
My left thumb is really soar and painful...I seriously don't know how I held this razor blade till I got like 4 cuts in various directions going across my thumb pad area...and the weird thing is that I didn't even feel it, well not till I was applying my tonner in the later part of the evening...yea gals, u shd know how that feels! OUCH! hahah....so much for being thicked skinned hey? Yea, some of my closer friends and team mates must be laughing at the association and link with my pet name right! *SiGhz* Hmmm...ok, gonna take a shower now, I wanna watch Queer Eye for a Straight Guy later...the more I watch it, the more I think Kyan is pretty hot even though he's like gay!

MY DEDICATION TO BLITZKRAFT - CJC CANOEING TEAM
OK, it's like 3am in the wee hours of yet another Sunday morning...not really tired yet. In fact, we just came home from a late nite (or shd I say early morning) supper @ Northbridge, coz we didn't take our dinner earlier.
Anyway, back home now sitting at my study table looking at some of the photos pasted on my wall. I've started to realise that I really miss my canoeing team like a hell lot...BLITZKRAFT!!!!!
Anyway, I just felt that I shd dedicate this BLOG to all the Blitzkraft ppl out there esp the guys from my batch of 2001/02 (coz, ya I was the only gal anyway...)
Blitzkraft (CJC Canoeing Team) has been one of the best phases in my ENTIRE life! I've never regreted joining the team and it's probably the main reason why I chose to continue to stay in CJC. I really love my team mates...they are like the greatest bunch of guys that I've known....as much as for all the bullying and torment that they have put me through and adopting my 'pet' name which for certain reasons I'm unable to disclose, they are seriously like my brothers.(Ok, guys, don't come and refute that u guys didn't bully me...coz u all did!) As cheesy as it sounds, I think I've been psychoed and influenced into having now been integrated into their brotherhood!

Yea, my mum keeps complaining why I can't behave more like a gal at times. Well...sorry, but I can't help it!!! Sometimes I even wonder if they ever realise that there was a gal in their presence, coz I they treat me like one of em. It's preety cool I must admit except when they wack and hit me on my back and like start being rough....ya...see how gentlemanly right!!!

But all those trainings 4 times a week, gym sessions, circuit trainings, time trials, lappings and competitions....wow...as much as most trainings were tough and physcially draining, just experiencing the good workout and the feeling of the sweat trickling down ur face even while paddling in the water...the pain and aches that we have to endure while doing the countless number of push ups continuously....I tell u, as I always said....PAIN IS AROUSING!!!! hahahah....yea...really felt damn shiok...don't u guys agree!!!

Wanna thank the guys for putting up with my ocassional whining...come on, I'm afterall still a gal ok, and I have my moods! They never looked down on my capabilities (at least that's what I think!), but instead were constantly encourging and providing me with the moral and team suupport in their own little ways! Really appreciate it! All the crap that we talk about during trainings and the after-trainings dinner @ the SUntect foodcourt...unforgettable!!! The memories of Kallang man....miss it!

ROAD RAGE FROM FREO
Yesterday bascially spent most of my morning and afternoon in the city with Stella...accomapied her to settle some stuff. Helped her with some final moving of stuff from her place over to ours which is just a few streets from us. Was really exhausted by the time I finally got home...
Later that night, I think everyone was too tired to do anything! Nobody felt like cooking dinner nor moving anywhere....so yea, turned to the last resort....ordered yummy Broadway Pizza!!!! Hahaha...it's good stuff man...nothing compared, and no where close to Pizza Hut in Singapore, and it's even cheaper!!!! HAHAH! So had 2 large pizza and garlic bread. Felt so stuffed after that!
Hmmm...this afternoon went to the airport to send our dear Stella-Nutella off. Sighz...so sad when u actaully realise how time passes by so quickly in a blink of an eye when u're having so much fun with close friends. I especially think that it is very important in cases like ours where we're studying abroad....friends are like one of the most important ppl around. They are like ur pillars of support and strength...and one thing I realised since i came to aussie land is that the ppl within the asian-international student community are generally very helpful...most really try and go all out to help u. As the saying goes...'what goes around, comes around'which I so think it's true. Afterall, it's good to offer ur help if it's within ur capabilities coz'u never know when u might need the help of others....seriously, I've never seen the importance and the real menaing behind this saying till I came to Aust! Really glad to have ppl like these around....Cheers to u guys!!!
Oh...think I digressed....back to what I was saying...yes yes...sent Stella off. Hahah,really had a good time while she was bunking in my room over the pass few days! Well, guess I'll only be able to neet up with her when I return to Singapore during the Summer break in dec...
Headed to Freemantle after that coz the other 3 wanted to eat the yummy crepes that were sold in the weekend market. Didn't really hang ard long coz most of the shops were about to close (bad thing abt aust...shops close to darn early! wassup man!). But yea, not to freat coz the main event of the entire day has just started....
Zhong Yi was driving us back...but at one point, the traffic light turned amber so Zhong had to jam break the car, which made all of us like jerk forward, and I think the car behind us was expecting us to run the light, which of coz we didn't so he too had to jam break his stupid red car which made a screeching noise....but that's not the point....dunno what was his problem but he actually got out of his car in the middle of the road and came over to pick up a fuss with Zhong. Think that really pissed Zhong off...I tell u looking at his mood, the whole atmosphere and mood in the car immediately changed from a fun-noisy environment to a dead silent one. Well, whatever happened next we decided we just like Zhong be himsef, coz u know, being thr typical Sg driver....yes yes...U ppl should know what I mean...need I even explain, anyway, it was a really long story, and by the time we got home all of us were so exhausted....the rest took naps, while I decided to watch another DVD...hahah, oh and yes, my darling chels is still sleeping on my bed! SUch a piggy man! (ANyway, for more info and details of the road rage incident, I suggest u refer to ZHong Yi's blog, it has more emotions in it!)

POEM - BUBBLE BATHS
Okie dokie...just something very random that came to my mind....
Once I'm in my bubble bath,
I like to stir up more.
Half the suds go in my eyes,
And half go on the floor.

THE MOVERS VS THE LEAVERS
Been feeling really tired today...lethargic kinda feeling, despite waking up pretty late this morning. Anyway, had to go over to Stella's place with Zhong Yi to help her do some packing and moving. Stella's graduated already, so clearing her house...she's flying back to Singapore this Saturday. Meantime, she'll be bunking with me in my room....hahaha, yes yes, and while I'm typing at this very moment...she'll all happily tucked into my comfy bed, talking on her handphone.
Sighz...seems like a really long way more before it comes to my turn to graduate... considering that I've only arrived in Australia in Feb. Oh well...so far so good I guess, it's been a really good experience. Let's just hope that things will get even better! Yuppie!
Well...by the time we finished moving the stuff and all, it was already like 4pm. Anyway, out living room looks really cluttered now...haha...kinda looks like a mini Salvation Army!
Had a really good dinner today...it was Stella's treat! Haiz, really gonna miss her when she's gone, despite having only known her for a relatively short period of time. Did the usual stuff...hanging out in the room talking to the rest....I think Zhong Yi is mad! He picked up a copy of Cosmopolitian(Aussie Gals Mag)this afternoon coz he had nothing better to do and was flipping thru' it.....hahah, u know, gals mags, they always have the typical section about guys and sex related horny stuff, telling and sharing the sexual experiences of other gals and all.....yea....he was reading thru it and I tell u, he was so amused by the contents (the story of the penis).He was like saying 'now I know what gals read about...' He was laughing at the statements made and yea....juz being amused...later that night he proceeded to flip thru CLEO....(ok, i think Zhong Yi is gonna kill me for exposing him...so much for the 'YEO-hood')
Gotta wake up early tmr, think i'll go tuck in for now....yawnz....

Stayed up the whole of last night...not too sure why but just didn't feel tired at all. Anyway, ended up spending my time watching yet another DVD, sipping delicious hot tea with milk! Hot tea is really good especially when it's like winter now in Australia...fills u up and keeps u warm!
Not too sure why, but yesterday everyone in the house didn't seem tired...we were all like 'high' on laughter and crappyness. Come to think about it, I don't even remember what excatly we talked about, but generally making stupid and corny comments...joking and reviving old memories from back home in Singapore as well as in college. It was good...imagine at 4am in the wee hours of the morning...a grp of like 5 friends laughing away and watching my dearest Chels wack poor Zhong Yi up! But then again, I can't blame her for doing that coz Zhong Yi was irritating her....but she's cool...
We(Chels,Nari,Zhong Yi,Daryl and me) decided to go down to Madtilda's Bay to watch the sunrise....standing at the jetty,it was freaking cold...with the cold winter's morning wind blowing across the Swan River...Brrrr! Quite disappointing coz the sky was rather cloudy so didn't really get to see much of the sunrise...but none the less, it was a good morning activity for all of us....fresh morning air is truly refreshing!
Decided to drive down to Mackers for an early moring breakfast, I think this was the only part Zhong Yi was looking forward too...and the main reason why he bothered to come out with us early in the morning to watch the sunrise...Food calls him!!!! HAhah!

Came back and plonked on the bed....zzzzz....afternoon was spring cleaning time for me...cleaned the kitchen and toilet! Hahah...looks so much better now! I tell u...it's the exams...the period of time one can't be bothered to do or care about anything but try to cram everything that was taught into the brain! It just makes u ignorant to the messy surrounding! Anyway, I think I have come to agree with Nari- cleaning is actually very theraputic!!! Seriously! (ok, my mum must be puzzled at this statement!)
Well...nothing much other than that happened today....just the usual hanging out with the others in the house! Cooked dinner this evening...had egges with cheese and mixed veg soup! SIghz...now that the exams are over...I'm actually finding it hard to find things to occupy my time with....*scratch head* wonder what I should do now....

OUTING WITH ZHONG YI AND NARI TO SUBIACO
Told myself this week I'm gonna relax and enjoy all that I can. Slept really late last night coz' stayed up to watch DVD's...it's great to finally chill and not worry about the exams!
Today was really great...went to Subiaco in the afternoon with Nari and Zhong Yi to do some grocery shopping. Had Jester's Pie for lunch...I tell you, this pie is really solid!!! It's damn yummy and it sure beats any pie that I had before in my life! Had the Parvarotti-creamy carbonara filling *slurps*
Got back home...spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out in the room with the rest (chels,nari and zhong yi). Was damn funny coz we were like bascially talking and crapping away..full of nonsense and rubbish! Nari was showing us this book she bought for a friend- 101 sex tips for women. I must say it was a pretty interesting book...had loads of pictures and interesting facts abt how to please a guy in bed and everything else along that line...(ok..ppl, don't get the wrong idea man!) Was flipping through the book with both Nari and Chels and we were like giggling away and commenting on the pictures and tips in the book...coming up with weird theories and ideas! Haha...can u imagine 3 girls sitting on the bed looking through a sex book! Not sure what Zhong Yi was thinking at that point of time...we must have kinda freaked him out, thinking that we've gone slightly wild! *wink*
Went to catch a movie in the evening with Chels,Nari,Zhong Yi and Stella. Watched Raising Helen...was a pretty ok chick flick kinda show...but I must say Kate Hudson is one hell of a woman and not to mention John Corbett...he's like HotStuff in a really sexy way! Ok..i must chill!
Gosh...while waiting to catch the bus home, we were like crapping away, laughing non-stop. It was damn funny coz Chels and I were acting all weird and talking about dubious stuff, being thick skinned and all. Seriously, I don't think u wanna know what we were talking about coz u'll just wanna wack your head against the wall.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!
FINALLY...the darn exams are over! WOOHOooo!!! It's like an entirely refreshing feeling...no more stress for at least sometime and no more late nights with my face stuck in the books!
Had my final Health and Fitness paper today...was pretty ok, just keeping my fingers cross for now! Came home after the paper, considering that I didn't get much sleep last night...immediately and literally flopped onto my comfory bed and knocked out...
Hahha...Zhong Yi was suppose to arrive today, but that tootface gave both Chels and me such a surprise by arriving on Thursday. Was so stunned when I walked through the door to see him at our place. Narissa arrvied his afternoon...back from her Sydney trip. Hmmm...really feels weird but in a good way that so many people from Singapore, yet alone from CJC are actually here. I guess it's good especially when u're alone in another country, away from u're family and friends back home...it just makes the feeling of lonliness and being homesick alot easier to cope with.
Now that the exams are over, there's like so much I wanna do...don't even know where to start! Can't wait till next week...going diving!!! Yuppie! Really looking forward to it! Think I'm gonna clear my room now...bye bye to my notes and books cause they're gonna be sleeping in the box. Wow...really can't imagine how one semester has gone by so fast...
