4TH OF JULY IS INDEPENDENCE DAY....WOOHOOOOOoooo!!!!
Ok...so what if this is not America, big deal. Sacha and I are proclaiming our very own celebration of the 4th of July right here in Australia! Yea, Sacha's back from touring Melbourne and Sydney, gonna stay over at our place for the next few days. It's been pretty good hanging out with her so far....
Went down to Subiaco with Sacha late this morning to do some grocery shopping. But before heading to the supermarket, we just took some time to walk around... I was trying to look for a jacket, but sighz, came back empty handed! Hahaha....out of the blues Sacha had this sudden craving to head over to The Cheesecake Shop to buy a cheesecake to eat. Damn....obviously without questioning, being a cheese freak, this 'nice' gal got me tempted into having it as well! Damn, so much for trying to keep away from nonsense! Anyway, all the various flavours of cheesecakes in the display looked damn yummy!!! Hahaha...trying to control my mouth from watering, and also because I started to feel hungry, being the typical Singaporean, I started picking on the free cheesecake samples! Yikes...hahha, tried to be as descreet as possible! Anyway, we the both of us were in luck. We were eyeing on the yummy tropical fruit cheesecake...and just decided to get a half....but we later saw this tiny sign at the counter saying that certain particualr flavours were going at a special price and one of them was the one we were planning to get! Yuppie...and yea, we ended up getting a whole! Sacha claimed that it could last us the week, but from the looks of it now...I think having it last 3 days would be a feet in itself! hahahah...it's just damn yummy! Just too good to resist!
The yummalicious Tropical Friut Cheesecake....*drools*
I think we bought like loads of groceries to last us 2 weeks! Got lots of good food planned out that we're gonna cook! Oh and my dear Sacha here was like converting me to become yet another Home Brand supporter. I wasn't too fond of it initially, coz I thought that it was like 'low-graded' and stuff....but after trying some stuff, it seriously ain't that bad. But of coz it really depends on what ya gonna buy. Certain stuff u can afford to go like all cheapo, but others u shd just stick to more trustworthy brands! Yups! :) When we got home, we had like trouble trying to squeeze all groceries into the freezer compartment! Gosh!
Anyway, yea, Sacha thought that we should have our very own 4th of July dinner celebration. She's a little mad!!! Yea, so we got down cooking...had hot delicious soup, oven roasted potatoes, fish fingers and this yummy tomato based stew that Sacha made. Definitely was a great meal, especially when it's winter here! Ooooo...and we also had red wine to go along with our meal. In the Singapore context...it was SHIOK! Felt damn stuffed after that! WoooHooo...to our independence day people!!!! YEa Baby!
I'm seriously starting to think that Sacha here has gone all aussified. It's like out of the blue she started singing the song-Waltzing Madtilda, and she has been singing at ramdom periods since! HAHHA...and the thing is that she only sings the chrous...coz yea...that's the only part she knows! She's been totally captivated and drawn into the aussie spirit ever since she watch that live rugby match in Sydney between Aust and Scottland! She was also asking me how the song- Kookabura sits on the old gum tree thingy went. Oh MY GoodNEss!!!! HELP!!! hahaha....
