You know what.......I hate to say this but i seriously think that Singaporeans as a whole shd work and improve on their manners and etiquette, especially when out in public! Ok....so for the many who are nice and well-mannered, know when and how to behave, and what is required as and when the time calls for it....good for ya...cheers! Keep it up! As for the rest who dun give a damn abt anything and think that the world is a stage put forth before them to display and act out their wonderous scene....Go and die lah....
Ok, i appologize for my rude behaviour here....but hey, if it was not for what happened to me on the train today, i dun think this blog would be even posted!
Ahem..... this afternoon ard 12.30pm, left my house and headed down to Kallang to teach dragon boating. So yea, decided to take the MRT down...faster and i was just too lazy to walk. Took the train from Hougang all the way down to Dohby Ghaut station. This was possibly the worst train ride i've ever taken in my entire life since i was born! Serious! Damn those ppl man!
Scene 1: Got on the train, ahhh.....goodie, found a place to sit.....ya rite....a place that i would regret choosing to sit.....i mean dammit man....of all the thousands of seats on the train, could i have been so unfortunate to have sat at that seat in that particular carriage. Well it was the lunch hr so yea, pretty full. At that moment i was just happy to have found a seat k! So, sitting opposite me was this mother and her 2 children, a gal and a boy, (prolly bwt the ages of 6 to 9) and i think their aunt, not too sure lah. But well, the 2 children were playing abt the train in that particular carriage i was in. Ok, so i thought to myself, small kid nvm. U know how they hold on to the pole and swing abt, grab the overhead handles trying to be all acrobatic......they were doing it like right infront of me lah and makin so much noise.......so i tolerated for like awhile...but no, it didn't stop there.....they started running up and down the carriage. (at the back of my mind i was hoping for them to fall...cry and ya....that would prolly teach them a lesson.....mena rite!) Wah lau, the mother can still sit there and laugh, smile at them, even tickle them, the aunt was no exception...she was in it too! Wanting to take a cat nap was pratically impossible with all tat noise going on.....then again, i didn't want to tell them off lah...u know kids....fine...i'm just too nice!
Scene 2: Nvm the kids....that i can still live with....(i like kids....but not rascles)!!!! Great, just when i thought i could block out the noise by trying really hard to take my cat nap, this 2 middle-aged ppl, again one male and a female, boarded the train at serangoon station. Remember i was TRYING to take my cat nap....there were 2 empty seats, one on each side of me. Fine....so the man sat on my left and the woman on my right....goodness...the guy was pretty big...ok, huge would be the better word....the moment he sat down i was like startled lah, and got a shock for a moment. I dun think they were related watsoever, but i would rather think they got to know each other not too long ago within that day itself. Well, nvm, so i went back to my nap......next thing i knew....there was this loud boom of a chinese conversation happening in front of me....remember i was in the middle of the both of them and they just started taking, using hand gestures and all, laughing and whatever u possibly would do in any conversation with a friend right in front of me lah...it was as if i was invisible or something! HOW RUDE! I think the woman was like half deaf man....thruout the entire conversation her head was practically in front of mine! Not to mention....she had this really appauling stinking bad breath coming out from her mouth....hey i couldn't help it, it was just so strong, no matter how i tried to hold my breath or turn my head a lil..it just flooded my whole nostril! For crying out loud.....i felt as if i was in hell....what in the world did i do to be so unfortunate this afternoon....all i wanted to do was take the train, take a cat nap and get my ass to work! I kept giving that uncomfortable look and even stared at the woman twice.....who does she think she is man.....she really treated me as if i was invisible.....(ok, i'm not ashamed to say this but......kao, i'm like this big and u can't even see me, not counting the fact that i was wearing a bright lime green sports top, surely u've gotta have seem me some point of time during the conversation that was held INFRONT of me! Bloody hell...it really pissed me off lah. The train ride seemed like forever! I really wanted to just tell the both of them off and embarress them infront of all the commuters onboard and let them in on how rude they were! But being the nice me....ahem..... i decided to be nice and spare them, and i was already all prepared to walk away to another carriage when they decided it was finally time for them to alight from the train......GREAT...WELL DONE AUNTY AND UNCLE! FINALLY....some peace at last (with the exception of the 2 childre in the background still making a racket!)
Scene 3: Boy was i wrong to even think of that....u wouldn't think my day could get any worst just on that 20min train ride. Next stop, this gal, or rather woman, prolly ard 22-25 walks in a sit next to me. Great she was holding a bible....goodie...peace....she's gonna read and now i can take my nap! Hhahaha....me and my big mouth. Next thing i knew....blasting out from her earphones from her MP3 player was linkin park's -In the End! It was not just loud....it was totally blasting...i think the ppl opposite me cld hear it as well.....are ppl in sg really going all deaf! God! What is wrong with these ppl man....i literally could hear every single word that Chester was screaming in that song....it was as good as me having my own discman playing! Great! 3 more stops and i'll be alighting! Hurry man! I just wanna get out from this pathetic train ride! Suddenly it just chanced upon me, i found it really awakard.....i mean, there's no right or wrong to it...but it was just u know- strange and weird. This 'deaf' lady sitting next to me was reading the bible (looking ever so 'holy') while listening to linkin park blasting into her ears!!!!! *ponders...scratch head* *shrugs* WHATEVER.....i mean.....WTF?
I never felt so happy alighting from an MRT train b4! It toally spoiled my mood for the day.....idiots! All i wanted to do was take the train to work........!!!!!!!!! I think that these ppl shd learn TRAIN ETIQUETTE.....so old already...no shame meh.....still complain that we young folks dun behanve properly....whatever happened to setting role model examples......this is just INSANE....Arghhhhh!!!!!
