It Has Been A Great Few Days...

Indeed it has been...
I think the past 2 days just few past in a jiffy!
I just had so much fun meeting and catching up with my dear friends.

Hahaha....so exciting!
Hey come on, it nice to see friends that u haven't met for what seems like ages.

Met the Blitzkraft (name of my ex-canoeing team) peeps for dinner on Tues. What initially seemed was gonna be a pathetic turn out, coz everyone was just giving back bloody negative responses, ended up real good in fact...oooo...surprise surprise! I tell u, the team never fails to surprise me with the things they do and get up to! But as the usual Blitzkraft tradition goes...majority of the people were late! Nothing new!

So yea, final head count...14 of us. Being the typical cheapos...the guys decided it better we ate at Glutton Square (i think that's what it was called)....ok, it's either i've been gone for a long time or i'm just a street idiot, but i didn't know such a place existed near the Esplandae. I swear Sg has gone thru much changes within the time I've been in Aust. Everytime I come back, I appear more like a tourist, wow-ing at new stuff around! What an idiot rite!

Food there was....ok la! I wun say it was fantastic...i still like my chomp chomp in comparison! (Who wants to go there to eat with me!) Shiming treated us to this Roti and banana Fondue thingy...i thought it was pretty cool. Interesting but simple food concept...i quite liked it. I finally got to eat all my favourite local delights that i've craved for oh so long....carrot cake, hokkien mee, satay, BBQ chicken wings.....Every year end, digging into local food is prob one of the main things i look forward to when i get back from Australia.

Catching up with each other...(everyone's so busy now!) crapping and talking nonsense...i'm always amazed with the conversation topics being brought up by the guys.... lame, weird and just plain retarded! I just love those guys!

After dinner, being lazy to do anything else, we spent the rest of the nite sitting outside the Esplanade, along the Sg river doing what we do best...talking....well, not b4 all of us got a drink from Giant Supermarket at Marina ....coz we were all just plain cheapos k!

Come to think abt it.... I kinda realised that it's only the people from my batch and our senior batch (the batch b4 us) who are really close knit. Other than that, correct me if i'm wrong, but u dun see any other of the Blitzkraft batches being this close! It's actually rather sad. I think we tried b4 during our training days to try get the teams closer...but i guess the batches just dun really 'click' ...sighz....I reckon it would have been so much more fun and better if a whole 4-5 generation of Blitzkraft canoeist gathered!

By saying this i know i make it sound biased or unfair...but i think both my senior batch and my own team ppl are more fun-loving (we are serious when the time calls for it...but we love to have fun) ...ok, sometimes too much fun for that matter...but these are the fun-filled memories that will stay with u....training was one thing...the lasting friendship with a great bunch of ppl who share a smiliar passion...that cannot be bought! So yea, as i was mentioning, i think our junior batches are unable to 'click' with us coz the type of 'fun' that we recognize is just different...i really have no idea how to put it into words...but i think u get my rough idea. Nonetheless....I would think that anyone who has ever been or is currently in Blitzkraft ...we're just one big family...nevermind if i dun know u or u dun know me....WTF....We're Blitzkraft man...WooShoooS!

Did i even make any sense? Nevermind!

** Cyn! wished u were able to join us!
