Linkin Park! Linkin Park!

Hell yeah! I'm gonna be catching the ever so awesome LINKIN PARK live in concert on 13th November '07! I missed them the first time round when they performed in Singapore... So looking forward to having a head banging good time there, ear drums bursting and screaming my throat sore! My friends and I were so excited we immediately booked our tickets the day sistic released them!

I'm finally able to relive the fantasy my housemate Chels and I used to do in our rooms - pretending that we were standing near the stage at a Linkin Park concert, at arms length to Chester and Mike ...reaching out to them, screaming their names as they rocked on! Hahhaha....hey Chels, remember that? We finally get to do it for real....! Ok, maybe not the at arms length part...sighz!

CHESTER!!!!! MIKE!!!! ...So looking forward to seeing and hearing this!

Rugby Madness

I've decided to take the AM off tmr morning. Actually contemplating on taking the entire day off instead, but I've got some stuff to settle in the PM. *boo*

I swear the past 2 weeks have literally been a whirlwind for me. This time it's nothing to do with being stressed up at work or feeling sick whatsoever.... it's that time of the year again - Rugby World Cup 2007! Ahhhhh...*waves hands in the air frantically* Honestly, I have no idea how I even got to appreciate this wonderful barbarically skillful game of brut strength, power and agility, yet it carries a certain artistic element to it. Think it prob dates back a good 8-10years when my dad introduced to me to my first RWC match - the year where Australia took on France in the finals to win the title (on the telly...duh), since then I've fallen in love with it. Pity it's not a big sport here in Singapore... all they telecast on cable are your random Trination matches, World Cup matches (which u have to wait 4 yrs for) and other selected rugby 7's matches that the Starsports channel decides to screen when they have nothing else better to show!

Needless to say, I absolutely love my New Zealand-All Blacks team! Keeping my fingers so tightly crossed that they'll make it to the finals and ultimately clinch the World Cup title that they so rightfully deserve! Hence why the past 2 weeks I've been suffering from sleep deprivation and moments of hypertension, hyperventilation and many instances where I think my heart stopped beating for awhile. Ok, that was over exaggerating!

My favourite player by far is No. 6 -Jerry Collins (blindside flanker). God, he's the man! Chels and a few others will know just how mad and crazy I am over him. The way he tackles his opponents, the amount of force he takes them down with and that inner bull within him when he drives his way thru in the ruck! *faints* I await the day I get to see him in person! Not to mention, a sexbomb he is too...well he's no pretty boy like Dan Carter, but I like! heehee.

I'm so happy once again that we're kinda starting to play Touch Rugby back here in Sg with some random others... (no full-on contact rugby for me, my mum wld be screaming her head off!) Miss those sessions back in Perth. Hopefully Chels and I will keep up the weekly routine! Haha. It's good fun though.

Next match to look out for....Sunday, where NZ take on Scotland. Bloody hell, I just found out they are resting Collins for that match! Craps...

Talented Human Beatboxer

I've always enjoyed and marvelled at the talents of a good human beatboxer. It's hard to come by... but this guy is amazing! Happened to be surfing Youtube for beatboxers and chanced upon this guy - Joseph, who took part in some French talent show.

Not only does he spit out really good beats, he even tops it up with additional background music simultaneously! Hey, it's not easy beatboxing and yet having to churn out the tune of 'Ring my Bell' in the background! That's what I call talent! Check him out. It's pretty cool if you're into such stuff!

COTTON ON

Went shopping after dinner yesterday with my girl friends. It's been eons since I last walked round Wisa Atria and Takashimaya Shopping Centre, or the whole of Orchard for that matter. Felt kinda like a tourist coz quite a bit has changed, except the darn weekend crowd. Same old same old.

We were walking around, lo and behold... ever since when did Singapore have a Cotton On outlet???? Was actually kinda surprised to see it, seems as if the Australian markets are starting to invest and build more and more franchise outlets of various Aussie labels and eateries here. There was like Boost Juice Bar and now Cotton On. Ok, I think there are several others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head right now.

Had a look-see, walk around the shop and I was actually telling one of my girl friends that I reckon I owned 1/8th of their shop in my own home! Coz when I was in Perth, I kinda like shopping at Cotton On for their summer and winter apparels...they're pretty comfortable and not to mention, prices are reasonable too! I have to confess that I own 4 different colours of one of their shorts design. I loved it so much that before I left Perth to return home, I hurried down to the city to grab 2 more pairs! Now, having seen the same shorts sold right here in Wisma Atria, I just stood there pursing my lips whilst staring at the shorts, with the thought going thru my head 'If I knew earlier.....'. Then again, I think the outlet didn't open until quite recently.

So if any one of u (yes, they sell both hunky and girly stuff), I've got the link here for u to check it out. If not, just pop in when u're in Wisma. For the girlies who love and adore the layering effect fashion even though it's like 33degrees in Singapore, Cotton On's worth a check-out!

Click here to check out the Cotton On Website.
