I've decided to take the AM off tmr morning. Actually contemplating on taking the entire day off instead, but I've got some stuff to settle in the PM. *boo*
I swear the past 2 weeks have literally been a whirlwind for me. This time it's nothing to do with being stressed up at work or feeling sick whatsoever.... it's that time of the year again - Rugby World Cup 2007! Ahhhhh...*waves hands in the air frantically* Honestly, I have no idea how I even got to appreciate this wonderful barbarically skillful game of brut strength, power and agility, yet it carries a certain artistic element to it. Think it prob dates back a good 8-10years when my dad introduced to me to my first RWC match - the year where Australia took on France in the finals to win the title (on the telly...duh), since then I've fallen in love with it. Pity it's not a big sport here in Singapore... all they telecast on cable are your random Trination matches, World Cup matches (which u have to wait 4 yrs for) and other selected rugby 7's matches that the Starsports channel decides to screen when they have nothing else better to show!
Needless to say, I absolutely love my New Zealand-All Blacks team! Keeping my fingers so tightly crossed that they'll make it to the finals and ultimately clinch the World Cup title that they so rightfully deserve! Hence why the past 2 weeks I've been suffering from sleep deprivation and moments of hypertension, hyperventilation and many instances where I think my heart stopped beating for awhile. Ok, that was over exaggerating!
My favourite player by far is No. 6 -Jerry Collins (blindside flanker). God, he's the man! Chels and a few others will know just how mad and crazy I am over him. The way he tackles his opponents, the amount of force he takes them down with and that inner bull within him when he drives his way thru in the ruck! *faints* I await the day I get to see him in person! Not to mention, a sexbomb he is too...well he's no pretty boy like Dan Carter, but I like! heehee.
I'm so happy once again that we're kinda starting to play Touch Rugby back here in Sg with some random others... (no full-on contact rugby for me, my mum wld be screaming her head off!) Miss those sessions back in Perth. Hopefully Chels and I will keep up the weekly routine! Haha. It's good fun though.
Next match to look out for....Sunday, where NZ take on Scotland. Bloody hell, I just found out they are resting Collins for that match! Craps...
