Bye 2007, Welcome 2008

In less than 2 hours, yet another year would have just gone by as we welcome in a brand new year - 2008!

So here's wishing all a very Happy and Blessed New Year to come!

Reflecting back on the year that has just gone by, I truly think that 2007 has been different and challenging from all others - the usual ups and down, big changes in life and lots of adjustments to accomodate to... yet I do have alot to be thankful for.

Actually, I should really count my blessings. From graduating from Uni with good grades, finding an awesome new job almost immediately, being close to my family and friends again after being away for 3 years and just seeing changes for the better within me. For all these, I'm truly grateful.

I'm actually really excited and looking forward to the start of a brand new year. I really don't know what 2008 will bring, but all I know is that I intend to make the best out of it. Having no expectations is probably not the best description, but I kinda wanna take things as it comes... u know go with the flow. Yet of coz, I do have some goals that I have set for myself, like pursuing my masters in exercise physiology.

I'm not the kinda person that makes new years resolutions whenever a brand new yr is ushered in, coz most people just say it without any actions taken. However, I feel that there's this perosnal need within me that wants to make some changes this year, not for anyone, but myself. I really do hope I keep to my resolutions... I will definitely try! It's gonna be a challenge!

Here's looking back at the best of 2007:
  1. Graduating from University!
  2. Just being back HOME again with my family & friends
  3. Job hunting
  4. Being offered an awesome job (where I'm able to apply what I've learnt in uni) almost immediately after graduating
  5. Attending my first ever rock concert - Linkin Park live in Singapore!
  6. Taking part in my first ever Standard Chartered Marathon and finishing up my targeted timing, even though I only took on the 10Km route.
  7. My awesome week-long Cambodian Adventure with 2 other great friends.
  8. Owning my very first new pair of roller blades that I love so much!
  9. Just getting back to what I love doing - Dragon Boating and rowing @ Kallang.
  10. Being able to spend more time with my lil' sister and just being there for her - I love her to bits!
  11. Blitzkraft.... what more can I say! I love the team!

The list goes on... just posted it so that I'll be able to look back next time and remind myself that there's much to be thankful.

So bye to a great 2007... and I look forward to a even better 2008 to come!
