Saturday was like the attack of the killer calories day! I think I ate ate least 2 day's worth of food, all within the timeframe of 9 hours! Yikes! Had to force myself to swim and run it off today. Clockwise from the top: Squid in tomato sauce, deep fried squid, their menu, red milk tea with perals, menu, salt and pepper chicken and BEEF NOODLES! Left to right: TCC, Sharom's sinful dessert - Dark Devotion and my Cafe Latte. The Coffee Connoisseur Uni maties - Min, Sharom, Isaac and Me! So much for food! Made myself swim 40 laps of the pool this afternoon just to make myself feel better! Hah!
But yea, aside from counting calories, I had sucha good weekend just hanging out and shopping with my sis and catching up with good ol' friends!
Went for a swim in the late morning with my sis. I swim pretty regularly, but I haven't been to the pool with my sis for close to a year! So u can imagine, after some hard work at the pool, we were starving by the end of our 90min swim session. We were craving for Jap food, so headed to Ajitei @ Bugis to fill our tummies. The both of us really like the place alot, one of our favourite mid-range priced jap restaurants. It's a good place to go if u just wanna have like a tea-time/light snack, coz they serve small portions of a decent variety of jap dishes. Our favourites have to be the Tonpei Yaki (cabbage& egg omelet), soft shell crab and fried curry squid.
Clockwise from the top: Tonpei Yaki, Ajitei's Logo (they are a branch of the Ajisen Ramen Restaurants, Fried curried squid, soft shell crab, lotus chips and Nagoya style chicken.

Shopping @ Bugis with my sis was awesome....not to mention that we spent quite a bit, guess some retail therapy does help espcially when the past few weeks haven't been that great. Got myself some pretty accessories - a necklace and a ring. Also got 2 dresses for a good deal... yes dresses, u heard me right indeed. Hello feminine me! Went shopping at Muji as well and got myself this funky pen that I'm so gonna use as my 'work' pen. Was also a good time to walk some calories off considering that I was due to meet my other grp of friends for dinner in less that 3hrs.
Next sinful stop to pack the calories was Lai Lai Family Restaurant where I had dinner with Min, Zac and Sharom. It's a small Taiwanese restuarant along Liang Seah Street just opposite Bugis Junction. They're pretty popular for their Taiwan style beef noodles.... I bet those army guys who have been to Taiwan know exactly what I'm refering to. It's pretty yummy especially when it goes along with the chilli! *Shiok* The 4 of us ordered their 'Value-Set for 4 paxs' which entitled us to a set meal each - a side dish, drink and a main dish of your choice. Kinda added up to about $11 each which is really worth it if I might add (decent portion!). But yeah, all of us had the house speacial - standard taiwan beef noodles. The pics below will elaborate on the side dishes we had...easier than me describing!

That was not the end! The guys wanted to go somewhere to chill out so Min suggested TCC - The Coffee Connoisseur @ Bugis. I was so stuffed by then. Had myself a nice hot cuppa Cafe Latte. The rest went with the cold coffee drinks. Sharom who was eyeing their lovely desserts gave into temptation and got himself a nice sinful platter of their 'Dark Devotion'. The name itself gives it away! Of coz being the good friends we are, whipped out our forks and helped attack the helpless dessert.
