Oh my goodness! Caught up with 2 of my besties for lunch today at Swensens and one of them broke the news that her BF proposed to her yesterday... and she said YES!
Hahha...then comes the flashing of ' THE ROCK'!!! Pretty pretty! It was just really sudden to hear this surprising news. I mean I'm really happy for her and all but my other bestie and I were literally surprised. I guess coz she's a rather private person by nature and doesn't talk much abt her love life to us, hence there's not much updates in that area. I respect her personal choice.
Anyway.... the exciting part comes after. They're planning their wedding to be set for the end of next year and she asked if I wanted to have the honour of becoming one of her bride's maid! How exciting! Ok, for one, I've never been a bride's maid. Secondly, I always wanted to become one but never got the chance to coz I'm like right smack in the middle of my extended family, so my older cousins who have already tied the knot usually asked the other older cousins to do the honour! But hahaha....it's my turn now! Really looking forward to that.... pretty dresses and stuff! (Great, this gives me more motivation to keep up my exercise regime!) Heheee!
Gosh, another friend getting married! What abt me....??? Still very much single and available, but I'm totally digging singlehood at the moment.... not pressure whatsoever as of YET!
Toodles...
Entering the working life sure is different!
Though slowly getting the hang of things, I really miss the comforts of my student life. Guess what most people say about enjoying studying while u can is something I come to understand right now. Hahaha...
I like my work cubicle, I like the lab, my colleagues are nice and easy to get along with, the work environment is great; we work hard and play hard...etc. Still hate the long travel journey to work... but welcome to working life. I just keep telling myself, Singapore is not that big! (Especially when u compare it to Aust.)
Met up with Sharon and Min for dinner after work on Friday @ Sushi Tei. Think I haven't seen them for about 2months and it sure was an awesome dinner. Just makes me miss those uni days where we are able to meet up ever so often and easily, coz everyone stayed so close to each other and we were more carefree. Not being back in Sg, I find it so hard to arrange outings with friends, either becoz they stay too far or coz they're just too busy. Sighz.
Back to dinner. We ate alot. When I say alot... it's alot. Food was good nonetheless. Sushi was raw but fresh! Yum! We had quite a spread alright. Ambience was real nice. The outlet at City Hall has these few private table with pretty white string like curtains around em'. So you can enjoy ur meal with ur friends with some privacy. Nice.
There was so much to catch up on. Even though it was just 2 months.... we sure talked and laughed even more. Bitching, gossiping, sharing, complaining....u have it all.
It sure was enjoyable.
